Filling in Blanks and Answering 5 Questions: 5/25

Happy Friday, y'all! I'm ready to get this long weekend started. Only thing that's standing in my way is 3 more hours of work! Now, it's time to fill in some blanks and answer some questions.

1. The best surprise ever would be,  a proposal and an engagement ring? I'm just saying! ;) That has to be the best surprise ever besides finding out you're going to be a Momma!

2.   Meeting my sweet boyfriend for the first time  is my most favorite memory.

3. The hardest, but most worthwhile thing I've ever done was  being in college while working a full-time, demanding job. I know it will be all worth it one day though! I'm not settling! :)

4. The best part of my day is   when I finally get to settle in for the night with my pj's on, watching some tv, reading some blogs, and spending time with my man (via chat or FaceTime).

5. Something I like that most people don't like is  Kraft mac and cheese instead of homemade mac and cheese.

6. Something I am willing to fight for is  my relationship with J.

7. Something you might not know about me is   I skipped 2nd grade and graduated high school 2 weeks after turning 17.

1. Are you a napper?
Oh yes! If I can squeeze in a 30 minute nap at lunch, or an hour nap after I get off from work, I'm all over it.

2. What was your favorite subject in school? Most hated?
Math. I know, I'm weird. Most hated? History, definitely!

3. Did you have the something old new borrowed and blue at your wedding? What were they?
Well, I haven't gotten married yet, but I plan to have all of the above.

4. What one thing are you determined to do this summer?
Have at least one awesome vacation which is set to take place the first week in July.

5. Ice cream or popsicles?
Ice cream! I'm addicted. It's bad.

Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and a fabulous Memorial Day!

It's OK Thursday: 5/24

Hey y'all! Until I can find my creativity, consider me the queen of link-ups! Personally, I love link-ups. I think it's a great way to get your blog out there, plus they're actually fun! So, here we go!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

To not be a fun person to be around the week before Aunt Flow hits. Seriously, all I want to do during this time is sleep. However, we all know that's not possible! Life goes on.

To go to bed at 10:00. I need to do this more often.

To be suffering from BURN OUT! I can't wait until July 1st! I'm so ready for a vacation.

To plan on doing nothing of importance this weekend. I just want to kick back and chill.

To be dreading the fact that school starts next Tuesday. These breaks just aren't long enough. I keep telling myself that it's only 2 classes, and I can make it!

To keep delaying "Fifty Shades Freed". I just know once I read it, I'll be sad that it's over.

To dread meetings at work.

That I'm 3 followers away from the 100 mark. I seem to be stuck on 97 :)

To have the most disturbing dream and wake up feeling so confused. My dream last night consisted of all 3 of my exes (plus J), all in one room together. Holy cow. It was like that movie "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" with a little bit of a twist. Freaked me out!

To be a little annoyed that it has stormed every day this week at 5:00 right when I'm leaving work. I hate driving in rain, especially when it's very heavy rain. So not fun.

That I've worn my hair up every day this week. You know that whole "all I want to do is sleep" problem? Yeah, this is why I haven't straightened my hair all week. Lazy much?

Welp, that's it for today. I feel like I complained a lot in this post, but you know what? It's OK!

Have a lovely Thursday, my friends!

Maybe I'm just boring?

Hello, lovelies! I feel like I don't have much to talk about these days. I wake up, get ready for work, go to work, leave work, go home and clean, eat dinner, read some blogs while watching some shows or a game while also talking to the boyfriend, then go to bed. So exciting, right? I thought so. :) Hopefully, my creativity will come back soon! Until then, this is just letting you know, I'm still alive!

Hope y'all are having a great week! Looking forward to a 3 day weekend!

Friday's Letters: 5/18

Happy Friday, y'all! Thank goodness it got here quickly this week. I have a busy day of work ahead of me, then it's time for some freedom. Time for some letters!

Photobucket

Dear Friday, I love you. Feel free to speed on by.

Dear Weekend, Thankfully I don't have a million things to do during your short stay this week. For once, I plan to rest and get some stuff done around the house. Unlike Friday, please feel free to crawl on by.

Dear Fifty Shades Darker, I didn't think you could get any better than Fifty Shades of Grey, but you did. I'm almost ready to be done with you just so I can get some more sleep at night. I've been staying up way too late because you just keep sucking me in! However, I know once it's time to be done with you, it will be time to start Fifty Shades Freed.

Dear Work, you have been insanely busy this week. Feel free to stay that way. I love it when I'm this busy. Having a job you love certainly doesn't hurt.

Dear Pacers, thank you so so so much for annihilating the Heat last night. It wouldn't hurt if you could do that 2 more times. Please and thank you!

Dear Brandon Beachy, I love you. Congrats on pitching your first complete game. You're pretty awesome, and you're gorgeous too! Oh, and I am so hoping that you'll be pitching on July 3rd when I'm at the game.

Dear beautiful VW GTI, I know you belong to my sweet boyfriend, but I wish I could keep you to myself. I've enjoyed driving you for the past month, and I really don't want to give you up. I will miss your 1.8 turbo engine.

Dear J, you are the bestest! Also, can we spend a whole day watching movies this weekend? Thank you for being a movie lover like I am! I miss you and can't wait to see you!

Dear blog friends, I'm sorry that I haven't been around much this week. I've also done a terrible job at commenting on your awesome blogs. Forgive me? Hope y'all have a great weekend!

What I'm Loving: 5/16

Happy Wednesday! I'm glad that this week is flying right on by. It's been a bit stressful! I love doing this post every week because it pushes me to look at all the good things that are happening instead of the bad. So, here is what I'm loving this week!

-- I'm loving that I haven't had to worry about school for the past 2 weeks. I plan to enjoy the next 2 weeks because summer semester is just around the corner.

-- I'm loving the 3.5 GPA I had for spring semester. I haven't been over 3.0 in quite awhile. My hard work is paying off!

-- I'm loving the time I had with J's family over the weekend. We took his mom out for a nice lunch Saturday. Then, we all got together that night and watched a movie. That's the first time that all 5 of us have done anything in a long time. I love family time!

-- I'm loving the time I had with my mom on Sunday for Mother's Day. I cooked a simple dinner, and we just enjoyed the time together. I love my Momma!

-- I'm loving that J bought an adapter so we can hook up the iPad to our TV. He's downloaded some new movies to his iPad, so I'm excited to watch them with him!

-- I'm loving that I'm having lunch with my best friend today! I haven't talked to her in a few days which means I'm excited to catch up!

-- I'm loving Britney Spears and Demi Lovato being the new judges on X-Factor. This means that I'll actually watch it this time.

-- I'm loving that the Bachelorette started Monday. It's so cool to watch and know that it was filmed just about an hour away from here. I love Emily! Some of the guys were a little weird, but there are some decent ones in the bunch too.

-- I'm loving the extra work I've had in the past few days. It makes the days go by faster!

-- I'm loving Tropicana Raspberry Lemonade. I saw it at the grocery store the other day and decided to try it. I can tell that it will be a staple in my fridge all summer long.

What are y'all loving this week?

How to deal when sick, communication is key, and Wolowitz's mom

Happy Friday, y'all! Thankfully, this week has gone by rather fast. No complaining here! J and I are trying to figure out what to do for our moms on Mother's Day. As of now, I have no clue what we're doing with either mom.

First, I'm linking up with Lauren over at The Little Things We Do.

1.  On a scale from 1-10 the frequency with which I get sick is,   I'm going to go with a 3. I usually don't get sick very often. It's mostly just dealing with sinus problems which is a lot better than a full blown cold or something bad. My immune system is actually really good.

2. The last time I felt sick was  yesterday. I'm actually not feeling too bad this morning. Throat is still a little scratchy, but I'm not achy like I was yesterday. Hope it stays that way!

3. The worst part about being sick is  the lack of energy I have  because usually I have things that need to get done such as work, school, spending time with the bf, or housework.

4. When I am sick I like to be taken care of by being babied. My mom and J both do a good job of taking care of me.  Plus, no matter how old I get, I always need my mommy!

5. Something I do to keep myself healthy is exercise, try to get as much sleep as I can (although that hasn't been happening lately), and wash my hands a ton.

6. A secret remedy that I use when I'm sick is to .... well I don't really have a secret remedy, but I mostly just sleep, take some medicine, and drink a ton of liquids.

7. One thing that always makes me feel better when I'm sick is  my mom's mashed potatoes. I always crave them when I'm sick.

Also linking up for Five Question Friday!

1. What advice would you give a couple getting married?
Always always always communicate. I'm not married, but after being in a relationship for 7 years, I know that this is key! We don't do well when we fail to communicate.

2. If you could tell your 16 year old self ONE thing, what would it be?
Stop obsessing over everything and enjoy your teenage years. In 10 years, when you look back, you will miss those days.

3. What do you do to keep cool in the summer? (AC, windows, fans, swimming, etc.)
AC definitely! I wish I had more of a chance to go swimming during the summer months.

4. What did you crave most while pregnant?
I don't have children yet, so this is kinda N/A to me. However, my mom had major ice cream cravings while she was pregnant with me, and she's not much of an ice cream eater. I'm convinced this is why I  have a strong love for ice cream.

5. Who is your favorite TV mom? Why?
Wolowitz's mom on Big Bang Theory. I love the fact that they never show her, plus the fact that she yells all the time! Love it!

Hope y'all have a lovely Friday!

And don't forget to "like" my blog's new FB page!

Nasty sandwich, disappearing blog posts, and a new FB page

Well y'all, I had a lovely "It's OK" post this morning, but it seems to have completely disappeared. So since my wonderful post has disappeared, I leave you with a rundown on how my afternoon has gone.

Crazy things that are happening to Cori today
1. I was a good girl and went to Subway for lunch. However, I get home and see that I have some nasty turkey sandwich covered in mayo and olives. It wouldn't have been so horrendous if mayo and olives weren't the absolute LAST things I'd ever put on my sandwich. I almost threw up looking at it. How did my sandwich get mixed up with that one? I have no clue.

2. My throat is absolutely killing me today, plus I have a ridiculous sinus headache. I wasn't able to take anything at work because my sinus medicine puts me to sleep. Awesome, I know.

3. Blogger makes my "It's OK" post completely disappear. Thank you, Blogger. No really, thank you! I enjoyed spending a good chunk of time writing a post before work just to have it completely disappear 4 hours later. Also, on a day when I'm trying to get my Facebook page for the blog up and running. Go "like" it please! :) FB page for Everyday Enchanted

Hope your day is going much better than mine!

What I'm Loving: 5/9

Happy Wednesday, y'all! I'm so ready for another weekend. However, I'm looking forward to a low-key weekend sometime soon. I know we'll be busy with Mother's Day activities this weekend. Homegirl just needs some sleep! Linking up again today with Jamie over at This Kind of Love.

--- I'm loving all the sweet birthday wishes I received from my blog friends. I had a great day!

--- I'm loving being able to get home a couple of hours earlier and not having to go to school after work. Getting home at 5:00 is so much better than 7:30!

--- I'm still loving Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm on Chapter 24 now. At least now that school is over, I will have more time to read. My goal is to read the whole trilogy before summer semester starts up.

--- I'm loving the new clothes that I got for my birthday. My love knows the key to my heart! ;)

--- I'm loving Diet Mtn Dew Supernova. Have any of you ever tried it? I bought a 12 pack on a whim a couple of weeks ago, and I love it! Tastes like a strawberry or watermelon soda. Very good!

--- I'm loving the fact that I've seen J a lot more than usual in the past few weeks. Life is finally starting to slow down a bit for us. I'm a little spoiled now though because I've seen him so much. It makes me miss even more when he's not here!

--- I'm loving my new flat iron that I bought at Target last week. It is amazing! Only $45 for this amazing hair appliance! I can see such a difference in my hair now. It's super straight and smooth. This is a dream come true for someone who has thick, wavy, frizzy hair.

--- The necklace that J bought me for our anniversary. This is the only good picture I could find of it. The other side is a pink heart, so I can wear the other side like a completely different necklace. I love it!

Hope y'all have a fabulous Wednesday! What are some of the things you're loving this week?

7 and 26

Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I finally feel like I can breathe now that school and all of the birthday/anniversary festivities are over. Sadly, all my pics are on mine and J's camera, and he is the keeper of the camera, so I won't be able to get them until next weekend. So for now, you'll just have to imagine how it went down! :)

We had a great 7 year anniversary on Sunday. We took a drive and went to our favorite little restaurant we go to every year. We save it for special occasions because it takes about an hour an a half to get there. I always love taking a drive with him though! We have the best conversations on those road trips. We talked about the future and what we want to have and do. It was really nice! Sorry to disappoint some of my friends who were rooting for it, but we're waiting a bit for an engagement. When we got home from our road trip, he asked me to look in his pocket. I saw a box, and for a split second, I thought it was happening. However, it was a beautiful necklace! After the fact, he said, "you really thought I was going to propose like that? You should know me better than that! And you know I want to do it on a random day when you're not expecting it" haha! He's so right about that! We've actually discussed all that before which is why I knew in the back of my mind that now wasn't the time. We want to have our own special day that's not on a holiday.

I know people think we're crazy for being together so long and not being married yet, but we've gone through a lot in those years. We've grown up, we've taken some time apart, we've gotten back together, we've experienced tragedies in both of our families, and it's just made us stronger. I think both of us feel all of this pressure, and we don't want to do it just because people are pressuring us. We both want to be absolutely certain when it's the right time. He's only 6 months into building his business, and he knows I'm tied down with work and school. It'll happen, we just have to remain patient. Engaged or not engaged, we love each other and it works for us.

Yesterday was my 26th birthday. It's so hard to believe! I still had work, and I still had to go to my last night of yoga class. I'm really going to miss that class and the people who took the class with me. I still plan to keep up the yoga practice because I can tell it's really helped me. It'll be nice not having to make the long drive twice a week though. It will allow me to have more gym time, plus I can get more things done at home. Also, I'm hoping that will allow me to have more time with J. Seeing each other twice a week instead of just once would be amazing!

Anyway, back to my birthday.... my best friend took me out to lunch which really made my day! I'm so lucky to have such good friends in my life. After class, I headed on over for my birthday dinner with J's family. It was wonderful, and I realize more and more how lucky I am to have them in my life. His parents even sign all my cards with "Love, Mom and Dad". It's really sweet. J always says that they love me more than him, haha! J bought me a lot of cute clothes for my birthday. Thank God I have a man with good taste! After 7 years, he knows exactly what I like and don't like when it comes to fashion. After dinner, J watched Secret Life with me. He pretends to not like it, but I know he does! :)

I didn't get home until midnight, so I'm exhausted this morning. It was well worth it though!

Since I don't have any anniversary/birthday pictures for you, I leave with you some from past birthdays.

2007 - 21st Birthday

2007 again - I was laughing in this pic!

2008 - 22nd Birthday. I had just woken up, so no makeup!

2009 - 23rd Birthday at the Cheesecake Factory. Trying to get down to my 2009 weight now!

23rd Birthday again - J got me a Cinderella cake because he calls me "princess".

2011 - 25th Birthday. Posing with my Emily Giffin book. Love her!

Friday's Letters: 5/4

Photobucket

Happy Friday! This is my first time linking up with Ashley for Friday's Letters. Here we go! Haha... that reminded me of the dog named Wego on that commercial.

Dear Weekend, thank you for finally making an appearance. I thought you would never get here!   I have such exciting plans for you. Feel free to stick around longer than usual. I won't mind! Promise!

Dear Eddie, thank you for being a sweet friend and co-worker. The cake you brought for my birthday was incredible!

Dear ridiculously huge coconut cake, thank you for being yummy. Even though I can't eat all of you, I plan to share you with my family since the piece I was given was big enough for 3 people.

Dear Cinco de Mayo, you are always a lot of fun! Excited about having a fiesta tomorrow! :)

Dear 26th Birthday, I can't believe you are here already. It seems like just yesterday I was celebrating my 25th. What a year it's been! Can't believe how much has changed!

25th birthday cake from J's family.
Dear 50 Shades of Grey, Your story line has sucked me in. Even though I'm only on chapter 13 of your book, I am completely intrigued and ready to read the rest of the trilogy.

Dear sweet boyfriend of mine, I can't believe we have been together for 7 years. I have grown up with you, and even though we have both changed so much, we have found a way to grow stronger as each year goes by. I'm sorry you had to deal with me in my late teens-early twenties. I know I was a bit of a wild one who didn't know what she wanted. You have never given up on me. I can't wait to spend Sunday (and forever) with you! You are the best thing that's ever been mine :)

P.S. Thanks for being such a dork with me! There's never a dull moment with us!

We didn't notice until we started looking at the pictures. He was the Momma  Kangaroo!!!

Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!

What I'm Loving: 5/2

Hey y'all! I know I've been MIA in the blogosphere lately, but there is just so much going on! Last week of spring semester, work, getting ready for anniversary and birthday activities, etc. I feel like I haven't been home at all lately. I always have plans to blog during my lunch hour, but I've actually been napping! Hopefully, I'll get back to normal next week when classes are over.

Today, I'm linking up with Jamie over at This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday.

--- I'm loving the beautiful weather today. It's a bit hotter than I'd like, but anything is better than cold and rain.

--- I'm loving the fact that J and I spent the day in Charlotte buying iPads on Saturday. The iPad was my gift to J for our anniversary. I couldn't keep it a secret, plus I thought it would be a fun trip to take together. He got black, and I got white. I call them the "his and hers" iPads.

--- I'm loving the fact that J and I have been taking time to FaceTime every night before I go to bed. We used to do this a lot, but we got busy and stopped. I love getting to "see" him every day. Lately, we have been making more commitments. We've committed to spending a day together once a week even if we're busy. We're also making time to talk more every day. This distance thing keeps getting harder and harder. The more I think about it, the more I don't like the idea of a long engagement once the time comes, haha!

--- I'm loving the fact that J was able to fix my car! The part was only $3! However, after he fixed that issue, the battery died. I had to buy a new battery over the weekend. He hasn't put it in yet because the weather has been horrible for the past couple of days. That means I'm still driving his car. :)

--- I'm loving that after tonight, I only have 1 more on-campus class. I'm ready to be done with that long drive for awhile! Can't wait to get home earlier every night!

--- I'm loving that there are only 4 more days until our anniversary! Can't wait to have a beautiful day with my love celebrating 7 years together.

--- I'm loving Instagram! I finally got it the other day! Follow me if you wish @corih86

--- I'm loving that we're having a cookout at work on the 15th. We've never done that before as a company.

--- I'm loving that my mom and my best friend are taking me out for my birthday on Cinco de Mayo. 2 celebrations in 1? Why not! I'm looking forward to 3 days of celebrating.

--- I'm loving the fact that J's mom is having a dinner for me on my birthday. I love the fact that his family is my family and has been since the beginning. I'm incredibly blessed.

--- I'm loving that we may be having yoga class outside tonight. Praying that it's not too hot and that it doesn't storm!

What are y'all loving this week?
