Friday!

Happy Friday, y'all! We've finally made it to the three day weekend! I'm ready to relax and watch some football. Today, I'm linking up with Lauren over at the The Little Things We Do for Fill in the Blank Friday. I haven't participated in the link-up in quite awhile, but today is a good day for it because I think my brain is already on vacation!

1. Over this labor day weekend I will be   sleeping in, watching an insane amount of football, and enjoying some time off. Nothing exciting, but that's how I like it.

2. With the political debates going on right now, my thoughts are   quit trying to force your opinion on someone else. We all have a difference of opinion and this is why we vote.

3. Today   I will go to work and hopefully it will go by fast. Looking forward to watching 2 of my fave teams play tonight. Go Vols and Go Ducks!

4. The best thing I've cooked recently is   uhhh... me? cook? funny. Actually, I did make some mac and cheese with some broccoli the other night that was pretty good.

5. The last thing I bought was   groceries. Exciting, I know.

6. The best movie I saw this summer was   Ice Age 4. It wasn't as good as the previous ones, but I really didn't go to many movies this summer.

7. The best book I read this summer was   Finally and Forever by Robin Jones Gunn.

Hope y'all have a great Labor Day weekend!

Oh How Pinteresting 8/29

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Making this sure and sweet since I don't have much time right now. Busy day since I have work and school today, then I'm going to see J after school. Oh the perks of having him live close to school! Here are the pins I'm loving this week!

Obsessed

Happy Tuesday, y'all! It's the day I dislike the most, so hopefully it will go by rather quickly, then we can just move on to Wednesday.

Thursday is a pretty big day. If you're not sure what Thursday is, well then let me help you out. The 2012 season of college football begins! My favorite season of the year! Of course, I love basketball too, but there's just something about college football in the south. It's that time of year when I want to hide the statuses of all my Bama friends. I know, it's such a shame. I grew up in Alabama, but yet I don't have a love for the Tide. I'm sorry. I guess that's the only thing that my Grandma and I don't have in common. However, I do have a great big love for the Florida State Seminoles!

My mom was born and raised in Florida, so she has been a Florida State fan forever! Growing up, it was instilled in me. Ever since birth, I grew up watching FSU games on Saturday, and it's a tradition I plan to share with my children. At least until they're old enough to make their own choices, haha! I love watching all the teams though because I love a good football game! Yes, I'll even watch Bama if it's a good game. Oklahoma State and Oregon are 2 of my other faves. Why? Well, that's a long story which I won't share at this time, but they both have great football programs and the fans are awesome too!

I'm definitely excited for Thursday! I already have my EC planner all filled up with kickoff times of the good games to watch this weekend. Yep, that will be my Labor Day weekend except for Sunday when I will spend it with my non-football-loving boyfriend. Seriously, how can he not love football?

Last Week in Review

Hey y'all! Monday is here once again. The weekends seem to get shorter and shorter. I'm definitely looking forward to that 3 day weekend in a few days! Today, I'm going to share some highlights from last week. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures, so don't fall asleep on me!

* School started on Monday. This semester I'm taking: Introduction to Accounting Spreadsheets, Interpersonal Communication, and Principles of Marketing. My hardest class will probably be Interpersonal Communication just because I will have to give a lot of speeches. I'm so not a fan of public speaking!

* My mom had her appointment to follow up on the kidney problem that she's been having. The doctor said she is now in remission! He also took her off of 3 medications. That was definitely good news! It only took about a month to treat it. Looking back over the past few months and how scary it's been, it's so amazing to see how God has taken care of her. She's better than ever! Thank you, Lord!

* Wednesday night, I had my first Interpersonal Communication class. It was the first on-campus class I've been to since my first try at college many years ago! Well, besides yoga last year, but that was more of a fun, gym-type class. The instructor seems really nice, but I am still a little scared about the speeches. Hopefully, I'll survive!

* Friday, I had lunch with my best friend and a co-worker of ours. It was fun to have lunch and catch up.

* Friday night, Momma and I had dinner at Olive Garden. We both ordered the never-ending pasta bowl. I even brought some home for lunch the next day. It was so good! After dinner, we went to Target. We found some plates on sale, and I also found a shoe organizer for my closet. I love clearance!

All in all, it was a pretty good week minus my sinus infection that I had. It didn't really stop me, but I was definitely more tired than usual! Hope y'all have a great Monday!

It's OK Thursday 8/23

Happy Thursday! Coincidentally, the last time I blogged was last Thursday. There's just something about Thursday I guess. I plan to catch you up tomorrow on how my week has been. Until then, I'm linking up with Neely and Amber.

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OK....

To not be a huge fan of change

To hate the sinus infection I've had this week

To be overwhelmed (in a good way) now that school has started back

To hate the feeling that you're being taken advantage of

To vent to your best friend

To give a short 30 second speech about blogging in your communication class

To get in bed earlier every night

To set a goal that I'm going to read one book a week instead of watching so much TV

To miss blogging. I need more hours in my day.

Hope y'all are having a great week!

It's OK Thursday! 8/16

Happy Thursday! This week is just flying on by! Thank goodness! J is on his way back from Florida right now. It's about time! I'm glad that I've been busy though because it's taken my mind off of him being gone. Today is Thursday which means that I'm linking up with Neely and Amber.

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OK.....

To hate insomnia. I tossed and turned until 3 AM. It was awful! Of course it had to be on the one day where I had to get up earlier than usual.

To be glad that my 10 hour work day is over! I survived, and it was worth it to only work 2 hours yesterday since I had to get all of my school stuff finished.

To be annoyed that tuition went up a ton this year. My bank account officially hates me. Can't wait to get that money back at the end of the semester.

To be excited about starting back to school on Monday. I need the structure again.

To be ready for bed at 7:00. I have too much to do before then though.

To love this gorgeous day we're having. I haven't seen any rain or clouds all day. That's rare!

To be looking forward to Labor Day weekend. 3 day weekend and the first weekend of football. What's not to love?

To be indecisive. Once I think I have it all figured out, I second guess myself.

To hate having to walk so far to take the trash out every day. I live the farthest away from the dumpsters at my apartment complex. It's good exercise though!

To be excited about guest posting today for Ashley over at Loving Life and Lilly.

Hope y'all are having a great day!

My Top 3: Music Edition

Happy Tuesday lovelies! I'm running low on good blogging material. Life hasn't been too exciting lately with work, work, and even more work. If I'm not at work, I'm watching reality TV. Yep, this has been my life without school and J. I bought Farrah's (from Teen Mom) new book that just came out. Getting ready to read a little bit of it on the Kindle. I'm not a huge fan of Farrah, but I'm curious as to what her book entails.

Since I'm out of good blogging material, I wanted to share with you the top 3 songs that I keep listening to over and over and over. Enjoy!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful Tuesday!

Weekend Review

Source: imgfave.com via Cori on Pinterest

Happy Monday, y'all! This weekend had to be one of the fastest. Okay yes, I probably say that every Monday, but still. I need more days in my weekend especially now that work is seriously crazy right now. We have so much going on! My brain is fried by 5:00 which is not good considering I start school on Monday.

My goal for this weekend was to get a lot of rest. I was semi-successful with that. I slept until 11:30 on Saturday. That was the latest I had slept in forever! Mine and J's love of sleep is a big reason why we won't be having kids for awhile. Selfish, I know, but I'm taking advantage of all the sleep I can get before children enter the picture. I definitely don't get much sleep during the week because of work and school. Saturday afternoon, I went over to spend time with Momma and baby A. She's so hilarious! She's growing every day. I can't believe she's 19 months now. For those of you who are new, my mom has been a nanny for this sweet baby girl since she was born. Saturday evening, I came home and actually talked to J for a little bit on G-Chat. He's still in Florida of course. He won't be returning until later this week. I love finding my "I love you, my princess" messages when I wake up in the mornings. I'm enjoying them while they last because the only time you'll find J up before 11 AM during the week is when he is at the beach. Oh the joys of working from home...

On Sunday, I slept in once again. I had a bad headache for most of the day which means I was pretty useless. I watched some HGTV, then started watching the first season of Teen Mom on Netflix. I made it all the way to the second season before bed. It was weird remembering that Ryan and Maci used to love each other. Ryan is so hot, why must he be such a lazy, rude person? I love Maci and Kyle together much more! Also, it was fun to remember that Amber used to be semi-normal. I also saw how much Gary really influenced her life in such a bad way. Yes, that was my Sunday.... analyzing Teen Mom! Sad, but true. The only time I ventured out of the house on Sunday was to get some food at Zaxby's. Yum!

That concludes the laziest weekend of all time. I didn't catch up on blogs at all this weekend like I intended too. I haven't been the best blogger lately. I'll try to do better! I feel like I say that a lot. Hope y'all have a fabulous week!

Friday's Letters 8/10

Happy Friday! My new normal includes blogging at night when I get home. I've come to enjoy it! It also gives me time to unwind before I start on something else. Today, I'm linking up with Ashley over at Adventures of Newlyweds for some letters.

Dear Week, You really took your sweet time, didn't you? I didn't think I would ever see the end of you. You gave me more ups and downs than ever, and honestly, I'm not sad to see you go. Adios. Dear J, I really miss you. Thank you for taking the time to send me a sweet message when you got up this morning before you started your day. I'm sure you're having a blast down there. Not too much fun though, right? Dear S, thank you for being my best friend and for always having my back. Thanks for listening to me vent so much this week too. I don't know what I'd do without you at work or life in general! Dear New England Patriots, Thanks for winning your first preseason game last night. Can't wait for the regular season to begin! Dear Braves, Sweep the Mets this weekend, please? Dear baby A, thanks for making me laugh so much tonight. Your sweet little face always makes me smile. I love you! Dear Momma, Thank you for cooking for me all week and for spoiling me more than I deserve. I'll miss you this weekend! Dear Friends, Hope y'all have a fabulous weekend!

It's OK Thursday 8/9

Happy Thursday, y'all! Only one more day stands between me and the weekend. I am ready for some relaxation! This girl has been on the go for a straight 2 weeks. Like every Thursday, I'm linking up with Neely and Amber for It's OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

IT'S OK.....

To want to beat your head against a wall while at work. Yep today was one of those days. I just kept repeating, I love my job, I love my job, I love my job.

To be jealous that J is in sunny Florida right now and will be for the next 8 days. May I cry now?

To be obsessed with Sparkling Chill which can be found at Target. It's my drink of choice these days.

To spend a little more than you have in your clothing budget for the month. Oops? I went a little wild during tax free weekend.

To be excited that tonight is the first preseason Patriots game! Oh how I love football season!

To love the picture that my friend Abby sent me of her daughter at her first cheerleading practice. As a former cheerleader, this warms my heart. I can't wait to go see her in action!

To love the fact that my mom is such a good cook. This is mostly why I rarely ever cook. She's just so good at it, plus she loves it. I couldn't be bothered really.

To be sad that there are only a few more episodes of Teen Mom left. I'm really going to miss Bentley! He's so cute!

To be posting later than usual this week. I've just been so busy! Hope y'all don't mind!

To be so thankful that I have such wonderful people in my life! I'm truly blessed!

Weekend Review

Happy Monday, y'all! Where did this weekend go? I honestly didn't get much rest at all, but at least I was with my love all weekend. After not seeing him for 3 weeks, I had really missed him. We were able to have some much needed time together. It was a lot of fun, but I'm exhausted and looking forward to next weekend.

After work on Friday, Momma and I shopped at Kohl's and Target. I didn't get anything, but she got a few shirts and a couple of pants. While she was sick, she gained about 60 pounds of fluid. Now, she has lost about 80 pounds. Needless to say, none of her clothes were fitting anymore. We decided to take full advantage of tax free weekend!

Momma in her new clothes

Saturday afternoon, I finally saw my J! His family went with us to see the new Ice Age movie because me and J's sister had been dying to see it! J surprised me with the movie because I thought we were going to see the new Batman movie this weekend. He didn't want me to miss out on Ice Age though. It's definitely my favorite animated movie. I even have a Sid the Sloth collection. I know, I'm so cool haha! After the movie, we ran some errands and then went back to his house. We just hung out and watched some of the Olympics then it was time for some sleep!

Our Braves shirts & bad lighting in the theater!

Sunday morning, we woke up and went to teach our 4-5 year old Sunday School class. We're both assistant teachers. Sadly, I hadn't been able to teach in a few months due to Momma being sick. I had missed the kids so much! It's so great to be back! We will be getting a new class in just a couple of weeks. It's always sad to see the older kids promote. Yes, I even get emotional about that! I'm doomed when I have my own children and my own classroom.

After church, we headed down to my house to pick up Momma to go to Charlotte. We shopped all day at Concord Mills and even ate and played at Dave & Buster's. It was our first time to go. We only got a $10 card, so we used it up pretty fast. It was fun for our first time though!

Love! They even had an Ice Age game!

Dave & Buster's at Concord Mills

I ended up buying 3 shirts, 1 skirt, and 2 necklaces on our shopping excursion. I have to brag on my boyfriend for a second. He always holds my bags for me while I shop, goes to get me another size if I need it while I'm trying on clothes, and opens doors for me. He tells me he loves me all the time, but he also shows it every day which means so much to me. This distance thing has been horrible and has even caused a few arguments lately, but we still love each other which surpasses everything. I won't get to see him for 2 more weeks because he's going out of town next weekend. I spent a lot of time being sad about it, but I just remember how wonderful it is when we finally get to see each other again. That feeling keeps me going!

I'm so happy that I was able to spend the weekend with all of my favorite people. Life is just as it should be! Hope y'all had a fabulous weekend too!
